The first time I saw Bradley Cooper was his role as Aidan Stone on the hit series Nip/Tuck. I never actually followed the series through from beginning to end, but I would catch a season here and there. I watched most of the season which featured Mario Lopez (which was of great disappointment in regards to Lopez), but that will be for a later time. The focus is now on Bradley Cooper.
Born Bradley Charles Cooper in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Cooper began his acting career with a small role in Sex and the City. His film debut was in the cult classic Wet Hot American Summer (2001). His first TV series where he a regular starring role was in the short-lived series The $treet (2000-2001).
Cooper continued to star in both movies and TV roles, including Touching Evil (2004), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Trial by Jury respectively, Wedding Crashers (2005), and Alias.
However, it wasn’t until Cooper starred in The Hangover (2009) that he became a household name. The Hangover was a box office hit grossing $467 million with a production budget of only $35 million (only $35 million? If only I had that amount of money).
In 2011, GQ UK presented Cooper with the International Man of the Year Award. In that same year, People named him Sexiest Man Alive.
In 2012, he was nominated for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and two MTV Movie Awards for his role in Silver Linings Playbook (2012) alongside Jennifer Lawrence; one nomination for Best Male Performance and one for Best Kiss. He won the MTV Movie Award. Again in 2013, he has been nominated for his role in American Hustle (2013) alongside Jennifer Lawrence.
Cooper is set to star in Serena (2014) alongside – – you guessed it – – Jennifer Lawrence! I don’t think Cooper needs Lawrence to win an award. They’re both fantastic actors on their own, but something tells me Serena will be nominated for a handful of awards once it’s released.
Talented, sexy and an admitted Momma’s boy – – what more could you ask for, except maybe Cooper in less clothes.
